Description	The Palantine is an autonomous, hereditary principality of the Kingdom of Argonesse, currently under ecclesiastical interregnum. The principal seat of the Palantine is the city of Palan, the oldest inhabited human settlement in eastern Roans. While the city's formal name is Palan, it is rarely used by its inhabitants, who prefer the "Old City." The Old City is sight of the Funeral Pyre and the Cathedral of St. Owyn the Meek. The city is the last stop for trade caravans from Gamada and Argonesse, as well as sea trade from Leonnes and Carniorn.
