Text adds lettering to your drawing for city labels, river names, etc.
When you select TEXT, CC3 displays a text-editing window into which you can type up to 256 characters on one line.
Type the desired text. If you wish to enter more than one line of text, select the Multi-line option.
While typing, you can:
· Use the keyboard arrow keys, HOME, and END to move the cursor within the editing window;
· Press DEL (Delete) to delete the character under the cursor;
· Press BACKSPACE to delete characters to the left of the cursor;
· Type special characters using the ALT key.
Choose the OK button when you have finished entering text. CC3 returns you to the drawing screen and displays a dynamic text placement cursor.
The prompt reads "Place (Shift = 15° Rot, Ctrl=Scale, Justify)[below prior]::".Press any of the hotkeys to change the justification or style.
Select a text insertion point with the cursor or type numeric coordinates, or press the right button to place below the last piece of text.
CC3 draws the text.
Whilst using Text pressing certain keys while moving the mouse provides the following action:

Text Tips
The scale and rotate feature makes it very easy to fit text to existing objects without setting text height in advance. Stretching text this way does not reset CC3's height value for new text - the next text entity you draw will still have the original current height. Select Keep Text Height & Angle to keep the settings.
You can draw text at any height, angle, or spacing, and with many True Type® fonts; you can align text with any combination of Left, Center, Right, Top, Mid, and Bottom justifications.
To set properties for new text:
To change the properties of existing text:
Use EDIT TEXT or Change-Text Properties
To insert text from an ANSI text file:
Use Edit >> Insert File to insert text from a plain text file.
