Description	The inspiration for this tollgate cottage was a floorplan I found in Victorian Cottage Residences, by Andrew Jackson Downing, Dover Publications, 1981 unabridged reproduction of the 1873 edition of the work first published in 1842 under the title Cottage Residences. www.doverpublications.com The little stone cottage was intended to be built from rubble stone and, in 1842, had an estimated cost for construction of $500 " . . when stone of this kind is abundant upon the ground. . ". In 1873, that figured had risen to an estimated cost of $1600. Floor Plan Challenge 2003
