Creating and editing catalogs of characters

You can create symbol catalogs of your characters for later addition to blank counters and card stand-up figure templates, or directly on to your maps.

1 Create your character on an individual template using the usual menthod.

2 Select Explode. Select the character, Do it.

3 Select Symbol > Define Symbol. Type in a name (we recommend that you use non-generic names to prevent the possibility of name confusion)

4 At the "symbol origin" prompt, select the snap point where you insert the body parts.

5 Select the entities to be included in the character by Prior, Do it.

6.  Select File > Save As and save the file as an CC3 FSC symbol catalog.

If you want to include a character or characters from another source, you can use Insert Part to place a copy of the file in the symbol catalog, then treat it as above.

When you have finished creating your catalog, you can edit it using CA’s Catalog utitilites.
