When you start CC3 for the first time, you see a screen with a Menu Bar, Status Bar, Color Bar, Toolbars, Symbol Catalog Window and a command prompt line surrounding a large drawing window that contains an arrow-shaped cursor.
When you install CC3, you have the option of using just a Simple toolbar. This is a great way to get familiar with CC3, and includes the tools most commonly used for mapping. You can swap between the simple and full interface.
